I love cumin, and I use it in several dishes a week. It’s my most used single spice (as in, not a spice blend) after salt, black pepper, and granulated garlic. I buy as much organic food as I can afford, and I really appreciated being able to buy organic cumin at an affordable price. This bag of cumin was fresh, deeply pungent, and delicious. Almost time to order again!

I just opened this, and the smell made my heart sing. Cumin is my favorite spice, but I have never purchased it from a quality brand apparently. I have never smelled cumin so beautiful.

The packaging was disappointing because the ziplock was all stuck on one side (half was ripped off of one side and sticking to the other). I wish I could give this 3.5 because neither do I think it was such a big mistake that it’s a three star, nor do I think it’s such a minor mistake it should be four stars. I am going to have to find a separate container to put it in. This would be a five star rating all the way if the packaging weren’t ruined.

In the picture, you will see where I pulled the broken “key” piece out of the “lock” side.

There are a few spices that I use so frequently that it became a burden. I’ve bought my spices in bulk section for years, but it can still be expensive. Then one day I bought a bulk 1lb. package of cinnamon and my life has forever changed.

When you buy your spices like this you will save a ton of money, plus you are guaranteed a fresh, delicious product. Who knows how long the spices in the bulk section have been there, who’s hands have been in it, who’s sneezes have made their way into the jar. Not to mention there lid coming on and off letting them go stale. Nope, this is definitely the way to go.

Starwest botanicals are my new favorite when it comes to spices as well. Great prices, great packaging, high-oil, aromatic, fresh spices. You really can’t go wrong here!

Be mindful there is prop 65 warning on this food product. It’s probably from a contaminated source. Didn’t notice otherwise I wouldn’t purchase it.

If your cooking requires powdered cumin and a fair amount of it, this is a good buy.
It smells fresh upon opening the pouch, and I think the quality is outstanding. This really adds some zip and flavor.
You may want to transfer the contents to your favorite container(s). The pouch is a zip-lock, but the zip and lock wont stay that way for too long.

Comes in a researable bag. I needed to cut back how much I used in dishes because this had more flavor…..good stuff and a great value compared to those tiny jars in grocery store.

I had been using bulk bin cumin, but since covid needed to restock my cumin. It became my new favorite spice after learning some Indian recipes. This is so much tastier than the bulk spices. And being organic I would hope it doesn’t have pesticides. Only complaint, is the ziplock on the bag doesn’t close easily; I have found it open a couple times so will be transferring to a glass jar. I plan to be a repeat customer.

I tried other brands and they never measured up to start with tentacles don’t switch around I tried nature vibe from India and it was horrible filled with rocks Stones Pebbles and trash it’s not worth the money
