This is truly a miracle worker for me. I research it a lot online and read tons of reviews and understand that it seemed to not work for a percentage of people for unknown reasons so when I decided to try it I was holding my breath hoping that I was not in the ‘not working’ category. During the first week, I took half a tsp. every 3 hrs. (yes, even through the night) and it seemed to improve my UTI infection moderately, so I thought, ok, it probably just takes a little longer. After 3 more days of the same regiment, I woke up that morning, had my usual dose, and it did not do a thing for me. The burning and urge to run to the bathroom was becoming worse to the point of being unbearable! I was on the verge of tears, and I thought to myself, this is going to fail. And then I thought, what the heck, I’m going to beat this dead horse, what’s it going to hurt. So I took a full tsp. of the powder, remember, I had just had half a tsp. not more than 10 min. ago. Imagine my surprise when the pain, burning and discomfort went away in a matter of minutes !! For the next few days I took a whole tsp. every 3-4 hrs. and my symptoms stayed away; after about a week of that schedule I thought it was safe to go to a maintenance schedule of 1 tsp. in the morning and 1 in the evening. I’ve been on that ever since. I am thinking that after a few months I’ll try having just one dose per day and see if it suffices.

I have sat down and analysed my healing process to see what I might have done right/wrong or different. I came up with the conclusion that every individual reacts to this product differently and one can only take what other people do as a reference point and not something written in stone. We each have to experiment with ourselves to find our own optimum threshold of effectiveness to facilitate a cure and not give up if in the beginning it doesn’t seem to work. Of course bearing in mind that it really might not work for a certain percentage of people no matter what they do.

Sorry for the long winded review, I honestly feel that this is a worthwhile alternative to antibiotics for our problems and my experience proves that if I had not persisted, I might have missed this life changing experience altogether.

I bought this as a UTI preventative measure. Well, low and behold I had a very bad UTI right after I had bought this that landed me in the hospital. I wanted to finish all the meds my doctor had prescribed me before mixing something else in. I finished my antibiotic and still felt a tiny tinge of the UTI but knew that it would heal with time since I have probably about a dozen plus of these in my lifetime. I remembered I had bought this and decided to give it a whirl. In the evening I added one teaspoon to my usual liter water bottle that is practically attached to me. I honestly did not have very high expectations since I have tried just about everything to aid in not getting one of these. (Diet, water intake, hygiene, supplements) I woke up the next morning with not even the slightest feeling that I had ever had a UTI. I am not saying this is a miracle worker or could replace antibiotics all together but if you have ever had a UTI you know the pain, frustration, and nervousness of going to the restroom even after you are off the medication. This relieved all of those anxieties. I am now using this as my preventative measure and mixing one teaspoon in my liter water bottle in the morning and one in the evening. It dissolves very well and barely adds any taste to my water. I am going to continue to do this and will update in the coming months. It has helped me tremendously.

No taste…no clumpy. Mixes aok. My CVS PHARMACIST RECOMMENDED. My personal Primary Doc didn’t even no about it, but his assistant did. So far so good. I can’t take antibiotics, I get hives. So a prevention is important. My female pharmacist has used for years with NO UTI. !!!!!! THANKS

I have tried d-mannose from a couple of brands. In honesty, I don’t notice any difference between any of them, they all work very well at the same rate. You do however, get the most out of your money if you buy in bigger bulk, and this product is the best deal I’ve found so far.

I used to only buy d-mannose in capsule form since it’s more convenient, but I’ve found that during an acute uti it wasn’t potent enough. A teaspoon of the powder equates 4 capsules, and having to take that every 2-3 hours was not only a pain but not a good use for your money since capsules are more expensive.

I still keep d-mannose capsules in case I need it when it’s inconvenient to carry the powder. In all other cases, I take this powder when I feel the sudden onset of a UTI or when I think I’m at a risk of getting it (e.g. not drinking enough water, intercourse). If you drink a scoop of the powder early enough, you won’t have to suffer from a full blown uti, and if it does it should go away after a day (no more than 2 days).

So far, I haven’t had the need to go to the doctor and take antibiotics. I definitely recommend this!

I have a friend who uses D-mannose to keep from having UTI’s because of an underlying disease and age. I have a dog who gets UTI’s frequently so I decided to give the D-mannose a try. Cleared up her early symptoms over a holiday weekend so that Tuesday samples tested at vet apmt came back clear. Her problem is structural and therefore chronic so I have decided to give her at least one dose of D-mannose a day more if she is symptomatic. Thank you for your prompt supply.
