5.0 out of 5 stars OMG! the FULL FLAVOR I was looking for!

I have been buying a small can 25 oz $2.99 Wasabi mixture from the health food store which contains fillers including wasabi leaves, spirulina (for coloring), and Turmeric. It beats nothing but is SO disappointing if you are used to the real thing. “Dualspices” Japanese Wasabi Powder is the real thing without the fillers and priced the same. You need less of this product than cheaper versions carrying higher price tags. This wasabi is greener without the spirulina. LOVE IT!

This Wasabi powder was awful. The taste was nasty and even though it say’s extra hot it was not hot in the least bit. A piece of peppermint candy has more heat.
I’m not sure what this stuff was but don’t waste your money on this one.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Perfect flavor and texture, very easy to mix up and actually lasts for several days. I will continue to purchase over and over again. Plan on using the powder for seasoning and sauces too!

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty weak

Despite their claim that this is pure Extra Hot Wasabi – we kept adding more and never really could taste it. Had planned to add to an “asian” themed chevre mixture but used nearly half the bag on one batch and it could barely be detected. Very disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Wasabi, excellent flavor, easy to mix

This wasabi powder is 100{98880d97af0555a3a517c8aae666eeb64e7bd6d49cbbe05617dcb138f6e48200} wasabi, no fillers, no mustard. It is easy to mix up into a paste. Measure out 2 parts wasabi powder to 1 part water, mix it, allow it to sit 15 minutes, and you are ready to enjoy some nicely pungent wasabi paste. The resealable bag is convenient and seals easily. The mixed wasabi paste tasted fabulous. Highly recommend!

Delicious. Mixes up with water for traditional wasabe, plus you can mix it in with ketchup to make an awesome cocktail sauce for sea food, and with mustard to make a zingy version for pork or beef.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Deal

I bought a different brand of this product for a cheaper price, but it was worthless. Not hot at all, no matter how much I used. So I bought this product at twice the price, hoping for a step up in quality. I was not disappointed. I made a batch of Bloody Marys, and rimmed the glasses with this horseradish powder. Success! It tastes spicy, fiery, and has a true horseradish spark.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST pure Wasabi we’ve found

Subject line says it: this is the best PURE Wasabi we can find at a price that, frankly, would be difficult to beat.
If you examine others, most often you’ll you’ll find they contain a type of ‘simple’ horseradish (IF they even list the horseradish type in the ingredients). But this is not REAL, 100{98880d97af0555a3a517c8aae666eeb64e7bd6d49cbbe05617dcb138f6e48200} Wasabi, even though it is true, wasabi is also known as a form of ‘Japanese’ horseradish. But these flavors are just not the same. Sure, the other “wasabis” may cost less, and this is because of this.. And some folks may even think they taste “just as good”.. And while I am certainly no expert, even I can tell the difference, and for that reason we will always pay the reasonable difference between these products. Great flavor, simple to use, ALWAYS fresh by just adding a single teaspoon of cold water to a single teaspoon of this great wasabi powder, and then spend just a few short minutes mixing together to create a fantastic paste. Extremely rare FRESH tuna steak done for just two minutes on a side on a HOT grill, combined with fresh sliced halves of Bok Choy, also grilled just prior to the steak, and it becomes one of our most favorite “special” dishes. Frankly, just talking about it makes my mouth water… Hmm.. I wonder if the fish market at the end of the street has some fresh tuna tonight. ‘Scuse me – I gotta go to the store…
